Tech-Enabled Ways of Working for a Nonprofit

Tech-Enabled Ways of Working for a Nonprofit

The Challenge

An established non-profit had been running for years with limited strategic technology oversight - its systems, processes, and teams weren’t properly aligned. Workarounds had become the norm. Leadership needed clarity on where the issues were and what was holding them back - along with recommendations on some practical steps to take.

Our Approach

We conducted a current state review focused on people, platforms and processes.

This included:

  • Workshops and interviews across various teams in the organisation

  • Mapping of operational pain points and bottlenecks

  • An assessment of tool overlap and digital maturity, including development of an architecture map.

We then shaped a future state design - not just a target diagram, but clear, actionable steps to get there. Recommendations spanned across strategy, tooling, roles, and sequencing.

The Outcome

A grounded tech enablement roadmap tied to business needs
A clear set of priorities to improve collaboration, reduce friction, and build internal capability
A shared understanding pain points between leadership and teams

Impact: The organisation moved forward with a shared understanding of how to work smarter - and took steps to make lasting change that allowed them to work more effectively and drive meaningful outcomes.
